Visits to Religious Monuments :

Rodez, the County Town of Aveyron, has a cathedral dating from the XIII and XVI centuries. There are organised visits to the belltower.

You must visit the Abbey of Conques (XI and XII centuries) which is an important cultural site and of great general interest. There is a treasury of the work of medieval goldsmiths to be admired. You must also visit the village, which is remarkably unspoilt.
